The YMCA is a community institution with a strong mission and a commitment to community service. Our client requested a design that would strongly reflect these values, accommodate a full range of programs and services, permit future expansion and have a distinctive and inviting architectural presence.

Programmatic components have been juxtaposed and interconnected in such a way that created a flexible multi-use Lobby providing visual and physical connections to all programme and functional areas of the "Y".
This 60,000 sq. ft. building includes: a 25 meter six lane exercise pool and leisure pool with a water slide and whirlpool, a wellness centre, gymnasium, aerobics facility, daycare and a teen centre, educational spaces, and support facilities.
