London Aquatic Center
The London Aquatic Centre represents a fresh approach to the design of swimming pools by obscuring the line dividing indoors from outdoors. Its light open ended enclosure brings both sunlight and views of trees and sky to swimmers and spectators.
The Aquatic Centre is a fast pool and a safe pool for competitors. Its two bulkheads make it flexible operationally. Recreational swimmers find it is so delightful that attendance continues to outstrip estimates. Indeed the overall attractiveness of the Aquatic Centre played a significant role in attracting "Canada Games 2001" to London, Ontario Canada.
Its cost was $7,300,000 for an area of 36,000 sq. ft.
